Hayley is an American actress and singer. People are most familiar with her character Erica Goldberg in the comedy TV series 'The Goldbergs'. She is, however, a music lover. She says that music has always been her first obsession. At the age of 12 years old, music was important enough to start training professionally. After some experimentation with songwriting, she only recorded the album with covers at the age of fourteen. The rest is history. Orrantia has been born in the USA but she is a native of the United States with Hispanic origins. Although she was raised speaking exclusively English and was never in Mexico she's extremely proud of her Hispanic roots. To preserve the heritage, she is learning Spanish. She also creates songs that incorporate the language. She has recorded an Spanish version of the song entitled 'Hasta Verte. Orrantia was a part of The X Factor season 1's auditions in the summer of 2011. Orrantia received 4 "yeses" to the panel of judges on the Seattle live audition stage following having been selected from her YouTube submission. The first time she auditioned, she was solo but during the "Hollywood Week" she was paired with three other female vocalists in a trio for the remaining auditions. They were eliminated in the 5th week during the live program.
