Coleman was raised in Blackpool, Lancashire. She attended Arnold School in Blackpool where she was head girl and received straight As on her A-levels. In response to questions about her Emmerdale role, she said she regretted not to have had the typical university experience. Coleman was in High School, was part of the theatre company In Yer Space. They performed the play Crystal Clear for the Edinburgh Festival. Her performance was well-received, and the play received favorable reviews. While auditioning for drama school, Coleman was offered the role as Jasmine Thomas in Emmerdale in 2005. Coleman was awarded two awards in the year 2007. In 2007 Coleman was nominated to win two awards, The British Soap Awards as the most promising newcomer and the National Television Awards as the Most Popular. In 2009, she received nominations in two categories: Best Actress-Sexiest Female and Best Performance Dramatic. Coleman was awarded an award at the TV Choice Awards nomination for Best Actress. Steven Moffat revealed at a Doctor Who Press Conference on March 21st, 2012 that Coleman was set to portray Matt Smith as the Doctor's Companion after Karen Gillan, Arthur Darvill and others left the series. Moffat selected her because of the ease with which she worked with Smith as well as the fact that she was faster at speaking than Smith. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. Since 1987, she's participated in TV and film projects. The most popular of her work is her TV work than film. Eva played many parts on the screen, but two stand out: The role of Dr. Maria Santos' role in All My Children as well as Detective Natalia Boa Vistas for CSI Miami. The actress was nominated the two "Daytime Emmys" in the first role, and she also had the opportunity to express her musical creativity. Eva as well as acting, is a philanthropist, businesswoman and entrepreneur. Three times married, she has a daughter and a second husband.
